I have updated to the new version of Silhouette Studio V 3.0.043 as of April 22, 2014 Kay has since said that it's good to go now! I've had no problems to speak of yet. Yay!

After reading about this update I am choosing to wait and not update. Hopefully they will release a new update soon that addresses some of the concerns Kay mentions. I hope they will listen to us, the users of their product!
